Free to Air Keys for TV

Friday, April 25th, 2008

There are too many ways to watch TV these days. Cable TV is good, but satellite is even cooler. Internet TV is quite powerful considering that anyone can watch it mostly without commercials. There used to be just a handful of channels and it was quite a monopoly of the news system. However, with more channels and new ones every year, people can live in the world of their choosing. I like fishing and now I can live it 24 hours a day. I heard that satellite TV can be troublesome but there are FTA keys that work with your system and can make life easier. You can fix your own minor issues with the right information and now you can get it from a website offering help and ways to correct it. There has got to be a huge market for this since so many millions of people watch TV all the time. TV is a big part of people’s lives these days. Have you ever tried to change the channel when they are watching it?

A GMC Envoy for a late Christmas gift

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

Have you started seeing the news with pictures of snow and rough weather coming? I check my news here every night and now I see some locals going out and buying new vehicles in order to deal with the snow and icy weather coming. I have an old honda that needs some work, especially new tires and so I might just go ahead and get a whole new ride. Why not? With the cost of tires and a tune-up, on an old vehicle, its just not worth it especially if it seems like more mechanical work is ahead. I am thinking about a truck with some all-weather tires to help me get around town in the snow. My pick is a GMC, they still have a strong name and their service department here has some recent awards. I am looking at some ads for the GMC Envoy and liking what I am seeing so far. It has better fuel economy and better traction control system now. I found it on a new truck forum and information site.

There is nothing like the feeling of being protected in the cold weather. I need a bit more money to get the truck, but it feels like Christmas came late at my house. I am in such a good mood just thinking about getting something new. The ole Honda is going to be put up for sale in the classifieds. It served me well but its gotta go sometime. Time to grab a celebratory beer and check the Trailvoy site for some more stats on mah new truck.

The Swatch keeps on ticking

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

What to do about my new watch? I wore it so long that it has fallen apart. The band is fading and torn. The watch face is scratched and dirty. I know it still keeps good time, but the rest of it is failing me. Maybe my girlfriend will get me a new one. I have been showing her my watch many times hoping she gets the idea. I think she doesn’t want to get me something like that. Maybe its because she wants to break up with me. I am not sure. But I still have to get a watch even if she does. I like Swatch watches still, maybe I am old-fashioned, or out of style, but I really like those designs.

There are lots of designs for watches, but none of them are as cool as a Swatch is. A Rolex is fat and expensive. A lot like their owners. A Swatch is thin and sophisticated, which I would like to believe I am. Maybe not so much since my current Swatch is falling apart. Well, it is 12 years old now.

Time for a new watch, that much is certain. Maybe if I get my girlfriend a Swatch, she will get me one too. I like that idea, but I am too cheap, and since she always makes me buy a dessert for her at dinner, maybe a Swatch is not right for her. Screw it, I am going to buy myself one right now. I am going to order it online since I can’t wait for the local store to get in the new design.

Luxury Bedding

Sunday, August 19th, 2007

Last weekend my wife decided to drag me to the local Home Depot store to buy some new luxury bedding, which naturally I didn’t think we needed. However, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise as I managed to conjure up a deal whereby I would let her buy any luxury bedding items she wanted as long as I could buy a Sony plasma screen to go with it. Naturally, she was a little apprehensive but in the end she agreed. She ended up buying a very nice Arabian style king size bed set that apparently matches our curtains!

Next it was my turn. I found an awesome 52inch screen with built-in high definition tuner and 500 gigabyte hard drive. I couldn’t wait to get home. My wife immediately ripped off the old bed sheets and put on the new ones while I setup the new plasma…in the bedroom! That night we both enjoyed the pleasures of our new purchases and ended up staying in bed the whole of Sunday just watching DVDs. Now, who said shopping with the wife couldn’t be fun?

Summer Shopping

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

I was watching my plasma TV over the weekend and I saw a great commercial for some pashmina shawls, stoles and wraps. Now that summer is approaching I thought it about time that I did a little bit of summer shopping and was really excited to hear that the Pashmina Store is having a big 50% sale off all items.

I have to admit I am a bit of a sucker when it comes to shawls. I have been collecting them ever since I was a little girl and own about 50 of them, all of different color, design and material. My boyfriend thinks I’m crazy and has vowed never to let me purchase another one. Luckily, I can buy them online so that he can’t stop me!

I saw a lovely white cashmere shawl that I really like. I think women can look so sophisticated with shawls and you can wear them during any season. After this little purchase I think the next thing on the shopping list is some new shoes and a nice new bag.
